Flaxseed – Sesame Ladoo

These nutritious laddoos are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein, making them a healthy snack option.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flax seeds

  • 1/2 cup raw peanuts

  • 1/2 cup almonds

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds (til)

  • 1 cup jaggery

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • 5 cardamom pods (crushed)


Instructions:

  1. Roast the Ingredients:

    • Dry roast flax seeds until they start to pop; set aside.

    • Roast peanuts until golden; remove skins and set aside.

    • Roast almonds until aromatic; set aside.

    • Roast sesame seeds until they begin to pop; set aside.

  2. Grind the Mixture:

    • Once cooled, coarsely grind flax seeds, peanuts, almonds, and sesame seeds together.

  3. Prepare Jaggery Syrup:

    • In a pan, add jaggery and water. Heat until jaggery melts completely and reaches a sticky consistency.

  4. Combine and Cook:

    • Add the ground mixture to the jaggery syrup.

    • Add ghee and crushed cardamom. Mix thoroughly until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

  5. Shape the Laddoos:

    • While the mixture is warm, grease your palms and shape into small balls.

  6. Cool and Store:

    • Allow the laddoos to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
